Return & Refund Policy

GardenMate provides garden and lawn care services. Because our services are rendered in person, our refund policy reflects the nature of service-based work.

Completed Visits

All completed visits are non-refundable. Once a service has been carried out, no refund will be issued regardless of the circumstances.

Cancellations — One-Time Services

You may cancel a one-time booking for a full refund if notice is given at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged in full.

Subscription Memberships

Subscription plans require a minimum commitment of 6 fortnightly visits (~3 months). After the minimum term, you may cancel with 14 days written notice to hello@gardenmate.co.nz. No refunds are issued for visits already completed.

Property Access Issues

If our team arrives and cannot access your property without prior notice, the visit will be charged in full. No refund will be issued in this case.

Service Quality Concerns

If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, please contact us within 48 hours of the visit at hello@gardenmate.co.nz. We will assess the concern and, where appropriate, offer a remediation visit at no additional charge. Refunds for completed work are issued at our sole discretion.

Outside Service Area

Orders placed from outside our Hamilton/Waikato service area will be cancelled and refunded in full.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
