Subscription Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all GardenMate subscription membership plans (Essential, Standard, and Premium). By subscribing, you agree to these terms in full.

Minimum Commitment

All subscription plans require a minimum of 6 fortnightly visits (approximately 3 months). You agree to pay for the full minimum term. Requests to cancel before the minimum term is fulfilled will not be accepted, and billing will continue until the commitment is complete.

How to Cancel

After completing the minimum term, you may cancel at any time by sending 14 days written notice to hello@gardenmate.co.nz. Include your full name, address, and subscription plan in the email. Cancellation is only confirmed once you receive written acknowledgement from GardenMate.

Billing During Notice Period

Your subscription remains active during the 14-day notice period. Scheduled visits and automatic billing continue until the cancellation takes effect. No refunds are issued for this period.

Early Cancellation Liability

If you cancel before completing the 6-visit minimum, you remain liable for the cost of the remaining visits in the minimum term. GardenMate reserves the right to invoice and collect the outstanding balance.

No Refunds for Completed Visits

All completed visits are non-refundable regardless of the reason for cancellation.

Pausing Your Subscription

You may request a temporary pause of up to 4 weeks per calendar year. Pause requests must be submitted at least 5 business days before the next scheduled visit. Pauses are subject to availability and must be approved by GardenMate in writing. Billing is suspended during an approved pause period.

Failed Payments

If a scheduled payment fails, we will notify you and retry within 3 business days. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, GardenMate reserves the right to suspend your subscription. Reinstatement is subject to full payment of outstanding amounts.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
